What is ICPI?
The Intersociety Council for Pathology Information (ICPI) is a nonprofit educational organization sponsored by national pathology societies to serve as a central source of information about pathology in the practice of medicine and in medical research and education. Each year, ICPI publishes the Directory of Pathology Training Programs listing pathology residency and fellowship programs in the United States and Canada. ICPI also publishes the brochure Pathology as a Career in Medicine.

Medical Student Interest Group Grants
Medical Student Interest Groups (MSIGs) are a useful mechanism to encourage outstanding medical students to consider a career in pathology. To that end, ICPI launched a program in 2009 to enhance existing MSIGs and to develop new programs. ICPI matched up to $1,000 in funds provided by pathology departments to support eleven MSIG programs.  The deadline for applications for the 2010 matching program is September 15, 2010.  Participating departments from the 2009 program are eligible to apply on a competitive basis.
